AMBASSADOR OF UKRAINE EXPRESSES HOPE THAT RESULTS OF ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO COUNTRY’S FURTHER DEVELOPMENT AND STRENGTHENING OF DEMOCRACY

YEREVAN, MAY 24, NOYAN TAPAN. At the May 24 meeting with RA Prime
Minister Serge Sargsian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Ukraine to Armenia Alexander Bozhko expressed the hope that the
results of RA National Assembly elections will contribute to country’s
further development and strengthening of democracy.

At Ambassador’s request S. Sargsian presented RPA’s approaches in
the issue of forming government mentioning that negotiations are
being conducted with political forces in the direction of involving
parliamentary and extra-parliamentary capable forces in the government
and forming power enjoying greater confidence.

As Noyan Tapan was informed from RA government Information and Public
Relations Department, at the meeting they also touched upon development
of Armenian-Ukrainian bilateral relations. The interlocutors attached
importance to exerting efforts in the direction of development of
both intergovernmental and interparliamentary cooperation.
