Republic, New Times, Impeachment bloc, People’s Party of Armenia and
Social-Democratic Party Hnchakyan refrained from holding procession
after today’s rally on Freedom Square because "government cannot be
changed by one action."

The leader of Impeachment bloc Nikol Pashinyan proposed forming a
special group that would check up the official results of the CEC. The
member of the CEC from People’ Party of Armenia Felix Khachatryan said
that the past elections were the most disgraceful elections ever. He
noted that he had warned about planned fraud since the constitutional
referendum of 2005.

The leaders of the parties Stepan Demirchyan, Aram Sargsyan, Aram
Karapetyan and Ludmila Sargsyan expressed commitment to fight the
anarchy and illegality imposed by the government. The next rally is
scheduled for May 18 7:00 PM.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
