ORDERS OF LEGION OF HONOR CONFERRED ON FRENCH ARMENIANS
YEREVAN, JANUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. By tradition, the
French President Jacques Chirac conferred New Year Orders of the
Legion of Honor to French Armenians Serge Samuelian, Sofi Devechian,
Alexi Geovchian and Armen Petrosian, "Marmara" reported, citing the
newspaper "Harach".
Serge Samueliam works at the French Ministry of Culture and has
managed for decades the publishing house founded by his father Hrant
Samuealian.
Sofi Devechian is an employee of the Ministry of Interior.
Alexi Geovchian is a political figure and coordinates efforts of
French Armenian organizations in the Genocide issue, while Armen
Petrosian is a businessman.
