RUSSIAN AFK "SYSTEMA" HOLDINGS CLAIMING TO BUY OTE SHARES

The Russian AFK "Systema" Holdings, which participates in the tender
to purchase ArmenTel, claims to buy a small package of shares of the
Greek OTE Company. OTE possesses 90 percent of ArmenTel shares.
"If the Greek Government announces acceptable conditions of sale
of OTE shares, we’ll discuss the suggestion," President of the AFK
"Systema" Holdings Vladimir Yevtushenkov said after signing the
contract on purchasing the Greek Intracom Telecom Company.
