Armenia was involved in a stupid story

Armenia was involved in a stupid story. A little while ago, we learned that Azerbaijan is sending humanitarian aid to Iran. Let’s go over the cases in order.

First, there was the assassination of Iran’s spiritual leader, i.e. the de facto head of state, after which Aliyev went to the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, being the only head of state, wrote words of condolence in the embassy’s mourning register, after which the attack of Iranian drones that appeared from somewhere, allegedly on the Iranian airport of Nakhichevan, took place.

After that, Aliyev closed the air and land border with the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued condemning statements, and after that the Iranian General Staff denied that they had attacked Azerbaijan, including the Iranian Foreign Minister.

An anti-Iranian campaign began, calls to Azerbaijan, support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, Armenia was involved in these calls, Armenia also called and expressed support, I don’t know what.

Azerbaijan’s response was that it thanks a number of international organizations and countries that supported its territorial integrity, sovereignty, called, expressed concern, etc. In other words, the Armenian flag was included in the anti-Iranian campaign, which I have talked about.

After that, President Pezeshkian and Aliyev had a phone call on Sunday, where Pezeshkian again insisted that they did not attack the airport of Azerbaijan. After that, Aliyev opened the border with Iran, and today Azerbaijan announced that they are sending humanitarian goods to Iran.

In other words, what happened to the escalation of relations between our two neighbors, statements, Azerbaijan gathered an international campaign against Iran regarding this alleged drone attack and they involved Armenia in the anti-Iranian campaign and they reconciled, and now they are sending humanitarian aid.

This is Armenian diplomacy, this is the behavior, actions and behavior of our diplomats, people involved in the security of the Republic of Armenia. These people are a disgrace, have zero diplomatic skills, zero foresight, and thus have continuously dragged the country into stupid stories.

Actions against Iran are not over yet. Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that the military offensive against Iran is “not over yet,” saying the operation “demeans” Iran’s spiritual leadership. This is reported by AFP.

“We strive to force the Iranian people to throw off the yoke of dictatorship. After all, it depends on him. But there is no doubt that with the actions taken so far, we are breaking their bones, and we are not done yet,” Netanyahu said during a visit to the National Health Management Center on Monday evening, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Verelq: RA has decided to use the small modular reactor technology. Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the second Nuclear Energy Summit in Paris. The high-ranking guests of the event were welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Raphael Grossi. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the Prime Ministers of Slovakia, Croatia, and heads of governments and representatives of a number of other countries also took part in the summit.

The joint photo-taking ceremony of the participants of the summit was followed by the opening ceremony of the event.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a speech, in which he specifically stated:

“Excellences,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I express my sincere gratitude to the President of France for inviting and warmly hosting this important event, as well as to the International Atomic Energy Agency for close cooperation.

After the successful first summit in Brussels in 2024, we are confident that this second summit in Paris will promote cooperation among countries that have decided to develop civil nuclear capacity and promote real solutions to advance the common goals of decarbonization and energy sovereignty.

These goals, combined with increasing global energy demand, have led to a reassessment of the competitiveness of nuclear power, and many countries now recognize that nuclear power, as a regulated, low-carbon energy source, can work well with, rather than compete with, renewable energy sources.

Driven by this conviction, Armenia was one of the first countries to fully support the declaration at COP28 to triple nuclear energy by 2050, and we welcome the First Global Assessment of progress towards the goals of the Paris Agreement. The Government of Armenia has also adopted a policy to maintain nuclear power as an essential factor in Armenia’s energy security and as a key component of electricity supply.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today: Along with the development of safety technologies, extending the life of existing nuclear reactors provides a timely and cost-effective path to zero emissions. In this context, Armenia, like many of the countries presented here, has launched a program to extend the operational life of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NAPP) until 2036. This extension will lay a solid foundation for the successful and safe transition of the new nuclear power unit.

To this end, our focus is on civil nuclear power innovations, particularly small modular reactor (SRM) technologies, which offer promising prospects. Growing demand is encouraging leading companies to develop safer and more flexible solutions with shorter construction times and expandable capacity that can better match the needs of national power grids.

Considering these circumstances, Armenia has made a decision on the use of small modular reactor technology. Currently, we are carefully studying the technologies and evaluating the proposals of international partners. The selection process is guided by considerations of reliability, long-term stability, and our commitment to the highest standards of nuclear safety, security, and nonproliferation.

excellences,

By 2050, a skilled workforce will be the backbone of the nuclear industry, from design and construction to safe operation, maintenance and ultimately decommissioning. The implementation of training and education programs is important to ensure the availability of the necessary workforce. In this regard, Armenia highly values international cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

I am glad to note that thanks to these efforts and the dedication of Armenian specialists, no incident related to nuclear or radiation safety occurred during the entire operation of the Armenian Atomic Power Plant.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize the importance of safe management of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel, which is extremely important for both present and future generations. Protection of human health and environment should be our main principle.

We are confident that this summit will contribute to the development of initiatives and partnerships between countries, international organizations, financial institutions and the sector. I wish all participants productive and successful work.

Thank you.”

Leaked Files Reveal Anti-ANCA Campaign by London PR Firm with Ties to Azerbaij

Apollo Strategic Communications Circulated Covert Media Hit Piece Against ANCA; Firm Deactivates X Account, Scrubs Staff Page after Leak

WASHINGTON – The Armenian National Committee of America is demanding full transparency from Apollo Strategic Communications, a London-based public relations firm with documented ties to Azerbaijan and its Caspian energy partners, after the firm was exposed for secretly circulating a media advisory to U.S. journalists targeting the ANCA for its advocacy on behalf of Americans of Armenian heritage.

The March 2, 2026, email, sent by Apollo’s Daniel Blake-Martin and leaked by a number of news agencies that received it, invited American editors to write hit pieces against the ANCA, recycling false arguments regularly advanced by Azerbaijani and Turkish government interests against pro-Armenia advocates in Washington.

The firm’s memo offered American journalists access to four off-the-record sources – including an unnamed congressional staffer, an Armenian ruling-party lawmaker, as well as figures from academic and think-tank circles, to place stories damaging to the ANCA.

The firm’s memo offered American journalists access to four off-the-record sources – including an unnamed congressional staffer, an Armenian ruling-party lawmaker, and figures from academic and think-tank circles – to place stories damaging to the ANCA.

ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian described it as “a scripted hit-piece against the ANCA sent in stealth to American journalists — a blueprint for slander, enlisting the anonymous backing of Armenians from Garo Paylan to Maria Karapetyan, MP — to punish the ANCA, not for our vices but for our virtues,” in a published op-ed responding to the campaign. “Assaulted for standing foursquare for the security of Armenia, the return of Armenians to Artsakh, the end of Azerbaijani occupation, the protection of Christian holy sites, and — perhaps most ‘unforgivable’ of all for Baku and its BP patrons — accountability for Azerbaijan’s crimes against the Armenian people.”

One of those sources, Garo Paylan, has since publicly disavowed the campaign on X, writing that “messages were sent to journalists on my behalf regarding Armenia that I did not authorize.” Since the leak, Apollo deactivated its X account and removed Blake-Martin from its website.

The ANCA is pressing Apollo for answers to four key questions: Who hired Apollo to pitch hit pieces against the ANCA, and how much were they paid? If Apollo acted on behalf of a foreign principal in America, against an American organization, why has it not registered with the Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)? How and why did Apollo enlist Maria Karapetyan, Nzhdeh Hovsepyan, and Garo Paylan in this covert campaign? And what connections does Apollo’s parent company, RSK Group, have to Azerbaijan, the Aliyev family, and Caspian energy companies?

California Courier publisher and columnist Harut Sassounian, whose weekly column scrutinized the Apollo memo in detail, raised the prospect that the operation may constitute a FARA violation. “The ASC memo was sent to the American media by a UK, not U.S., PR firm, possibly intending to circumvent” federal foreign lobbying disclosure requirements, Sassounian wrote — adding that Apollo failed to respond to multiple requests for comment, “resulting in a PR firm doing negative PR against itself.”

As Sassounian reported in the California Courier, RSK Group, Apollo’s parent company, maintains a wholly owned subsidiary — Azerbaijan Environment and Technology Centre Ltd. — with an in-country office and active project work in the Caspian region. Apollo itself has operated under multiple names since its registration in 2009, previously known as “Red Public Relations Limited” and “Apollo Public Relations Limited.”

“The ANCA publicly shares our work — enlisting our community via open calls to activism, press releases, and national townhall meetings,” Hamparian wrote. “Apollo’s involvement, by contrast, would have remained entirely unknown had their emails not been leaked. All that remains is for Apollo now to reveal who exactly is paying for this anti-ANCA defamation — the terms of any contracts, and the dollar amounts involved.”

Authorities Issue Cryptic Warning About Foreign Election Interference

Voters wait to cast their ballots during the 2021 snap parliamentary elections

Armenia’s Foreign Intelligence Service on Tuesday issued a cryptic statement that warned of threats of foreign interference in the upcoming June 7 election.

The intelligence agency issued the announcement to the state-run Armepress news agency, saying that “various actors” are attempting to interfere in the elections, without specifying the said “actors.” The statement alleged that the so-called “actors” are using pressure on Armenians abroad to support certain political parties in Armenia.

“The Foreign Intelligence Service receives intelligence that, in a foreign country, various actors—presenting themselves as representatives of that country’s special services—are attempting to exert pressure on individuals of Armenian origin and the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are engaged in economic activities in that country, in order to induce them to undertake actions supporting certain political forces that have declared their intention to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia. These actions include, but are not limited to, the provision by the said businesspersons of financial and organizational support to those political forces,” the Foreign Intelligence Service said.

A few hours after the statement was issued, the Interior Ministry said that the Armenian police have already looked into the FIS statement and submitted a relevant “report of an apparent crime” to Armenia’s Investigative Committee.

Vahakn Aleksanyan, the Vice-President of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract Party, took to social media later Tuesday to hint that the country in question in the FIS report was Russia, which allegedly had elaborate plans to interfere in the elections, including ordering Armenians living abroad to travel to Armenia to vote in the polls.

During a campaign rally in Gyumri over the weekend, Pashinyan also mentioned rumors that “they will be bringing people from Russia” to vote for the opposition.

“Let them bring [such people] because 84.5 percent of those who will come, according to the polls we have conducted there, will vote for us,” Pashinyan said.

Asbarez: U.S. Religious Freedom Commission Places Azerbaijan, Turkey on ‘Spec

U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom Report, 2026

Also Cites Pashinyan’s Attack on Armenian Apostolic Church

For their ongoing disregard for religious freedom and persecuting religious minorities in 2025, Azerbaijan and Turkey were among 11 countries placed on a “Special Watch List” by the United State Commission on International Religious Freedom, which issued its annual report this week.

Among the issues cited by the USCIRF 2026 report was the destruction of Armenian religious and cultural heritage in Artsakh.

“Historic Armenian religious sites in Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding territories remain at risk following Azerbaijan’s retaking of the territories in 2020 and 2023. As of July, satellite imagery identified eight destroyed and another 10 damaged religious sites, including churches, cemeteries, and other artifacts. Additionally, family members have reported that Armenian prisoners are prevented from receiving religious items, such as the Bible; however, the Azerbaijani government has claimed prisoners have access to religious materials,” the report cited.

The report also recommended that the U.S. “set conditions on foreign military financing and other security assistance to Azerbaijan, requiring specified improvements in religious freedom and related human rights.”

The report cited Congressional action regarding religious and human rights violations in 2025, citing various initiatives that were led or backed by the Armenian National Committee of America.

“Congress elevated human rights concerns in Azerbaijan throughout the year, including related to religious freedom. In March, 60 bipartisan members of Congress urged U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to enforce prohibitions on U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan under Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act in part due to Azerbaijan’s destruction of Armenian religious heritage in the Nagorno-Karabakh region,” the commission reported.

“In April, Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ) led a Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission hearing on human rights in Azerbaijan following its hosting of the United Nations’ annual climate conference. In July, more than 80 bipartisan members of Congress urged Secretary Rubio to ensure the safe return of Armenians displaced during Azerbaijan’s 2023 military campaign in Nagorno-Karabakh. The letter mentioned Azerbaijan’s destruction of Armenian religious sites in the region,” the report added.

“In September, Representatives Dina Titus (D-NV) and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) reintroduced the Azerbaijan Sanctions Review Act (H.R. 5369), which, if passed, would require the Trump administration to determine whether Azerbaijani officials mentioned in the bill participated in human rights abuses and qualified for sanctions under relevant U.S. law,” the report said.

Despite an apparent consensus on classifying Azerbaijan on a “Special Watch List,” the chair of the commission, Vicky Hartzler voiced her dissent in the report and called for Azerbaijan to be placed on the harsher—more strict—“Country of Particular Concern” category.

“Azerbaijan should be designated a Country of Particular Concern rather than Special Watch List due to its ongoing, egregious, and severe violations of religious freedom,” Hartzler in her dissent included in the report.

“The country outwardly claims to support religious freedom, yet inwardly does the opposite. It tortures its citizens, controls religious activity, expels independent media and the Red Cross, and destroys religious heritage sites. Control of religion involves government approval for the publication and distribution of religious materials, requirements on the registration of churches, appointments by the government of imams to mosques, and government writing of sermons for Muslim services. Shi’a religious actors imprisoned for their faith have been subjected to beatings, threats of rape, and detention in horrid conditions,” the commission chair explained.

“The nearly two dozen Armenian Christian prisoners from Nagorno-Karabakh, who were tried behind closed doors without adequate legal counsel, have received beatings, psychological abuse, lack of access to medical care and proper food, denials of Bibles, and the erasure of cross tattoos through burning. Police are not held accountable for these actions. In addition, Azerbaijan continues to destroy religious monuments and churches in Nagorno-Karabakh, erasing over 2,000 years of Christian presence in that area. Satellite imagery has identified eight destroyed and another 10 damaged religious sites as of July, including churches, cemeteries, and other artifacts. Azerbaijan’s treatment of religion and its people needs to change. If Azerbaijan wants to be a full partner with the United States and advance shared economic and strategic goals, it needs to take meaningful steps to truly embrace religious freedom,” Hartzler emphasized in her dissent.

The USCIRF also mentioned Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan campaign and crusade against the church under a section called “Attacks on and Repression of Religious Leaders.”

“In Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statements about the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) raised concerns about potential government interference in the AAC’s religious autonomy. Throughout 2025, Prime Minister Pashinyan proposed establishing and personally appointing a council to elect a new AAC leader, and elevated clergy who aligned with his agenda to oust the current catholicos. Pashinyan’s attacks on Catholicos Karekin II coincided with the arrest of AAC clerics and other lay members who had criticized or expressed political opposition to Pashinyan’s government,” the report said.

168: If CP does not have the post of prime minister after 10 days, it will gather in the elections

March: 10, 2026

Artak Zakaryan writes: “Dear opposition community,

I am sure that almost all of you have the same desire: to get rid of these authorities. But it is necessary to understand that only this rash is not enough. Every citizen of Armenia needs unity and street struggle before the elections. Otherwise, CP will falsify your wishes and doesn’t care about each of your votes. In order to keep those votes and to implement them, a broad mobilization and street fight is needed before and after the elections.

Recently, CP was unnecessarily excited by an American IRI poll, in which, according to the data that reached me, the number of those who refused the survey was extremely large. Experts note that a certain part of people usually refuse to participate in this or that survey. In the case of the latest IRI Armenia survey, that number is almost twice as high (the vast majority of callers (10/7) refused to speak at all).

This proves that people live in an atmosphere of fear, disappointment and uncertainty. That people no longer expect anything and have no faith. This indicates that a large part of people is afraid, avoids or considers it pointless to even give their opinion to public opinion polls.

And in this case, who has a guarantee that the government, built on falsehoods and fed on lies, will tolerate the contents of the ballot box after handing over the homeland? Who is the naïve oppositionist who, after eight years of disasters, repression, political prisoners and a divisive atmosphere of hatred, is ready to believe in electoral victory?

It turned out that the way to win the elections goes through the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister with a legal and united struggle.

If CP does not have the post of prime minister after 10 days, it will gather 1.7% of votes in the elections. The picture is almost the same in post-Soviet and Eastern European countries. For us, it’s more terrible.”

Armenia’s economy buys almost twice as much from foreign markets

March: 10, 2026

Facebook post of Davit Ananyan, co-founder of the “Wings of Unity” political initiative

OBSERVATION 2: Foreign trade: decline in exports and deepening dependence on imports (when the real state of the economy is revealed in the external balance)

The real competitiveness of the economy is best seen not in domestic statistical growth indicators, but in the foreign trade balance.

If the economy strengthens, exports increase, markets diversify and import dependence decreases.

2026 January’s data show the opposite picture.

Thus, the external sector reveals the reality that is often not seen in official statements about economic activity.

A drop in exports at the very beginning of the year

2026 In January, Armenia’s export amounted to 463.9 million dollars, which is 13.5% less than in 2025. the same month.

At the same time, the import amounted to 811.8 million dollars. As a result, the foreign trade turnover amounted to 1.28 billion dollars, which is 12% less than the same month last year.

This means that the very first month of the year for Armenia’s foreign trade begins with a weakening trend of exports.

Trade balance: real “accounting” of the economy

Foreign trade balance in 2026 in January it was -347.9 million dollars. In other words, Armenia’s economy buys from foreign markets almost twice as much as it sells.

Such a structure is characteristic of economies where domestic production is weak, exports are limited, and consumption is heavily dependent on imports.

 Export Structural Vulnerability

Export data shows another important problem: the structural volatility of exports.
2026 in January, the export of precious metals and stones decreased by about 45%, ready-made food products by about 16%, and the export of devices and equipment by about 69%.

This shows that Armenia’s exports continue to be:

 with a limited product structure,

with low participation of high-tech production, and

 depending on several product groups.

Such a structure makes the economy vulnerable to fluctuations in foreign markets.

 Geographic structure: limitation of markets

The geographical structure of foreign trade also shows a system of dependencies.

In particular, in 2026 The structure of foreign trade in January was as follows. CIS countries – 29.1%, EU countries – 14%, other countries – 56.9% in foreign trade turnover.

At the same time, the trade turnover with Russia decreased by about 38%.

These data show that Armenia’s foreign trade remains concentrated and based on limited markets.

 “External Audit” of Economic Growth

Foreign trade acts as a reality check mechanism for the economy. If the economy is actually strengthening, exports should increase, import dependence should decrease, and the external balance should stabilize.

But in 2026 January data show the opposite trend.

 exports decline
 the trade deficit remains large,
the economy continues to depend on imports.

 Conclusion

The figures of foreign trade again show the structural problem of Armenia’s economy, in particular, the official talk about economic activity does not translate into real expansion of exports.

Armenia’s economy continues to be an import-dependent consumer economy, not an export-based production economy.

March: 10, 2026

“If we are talking about serious politics or serious state management, then what the RA authorities are doing today does not correspond to the current reality in any way. We are dealing with a frivolous government, which has already confirmed that it does not conduct its own policy,” he said of 168.am said in a conversation with Chairman of the Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargsyanspeaking about the ongoing military operations in neighboring Iran and the internal party campaign by the Armenian authorities.

According to him, no matter how much Nikol Pashinyan talks about sovereignty today and declares that we have just become a state, it does not change anything, he does not rule the country by himself.

“If they talk every day that we are becoming a new state, we should understand exactly the opposite, because the state was formed in 1991, that is, it was continuous, we don’t need to drum up all this now. It is better, let him talk about how to preserve and develop all this.

If we consider this war against Iran, it is still hidden. When the US president came to power, he announced that he had stopped 8 wars, avoided the Third World War, and deserved to be awarded the “Nobel Peace” prize. But less than half a year later, he was transformed,” added Aram Sargsyan.

  • US-Israel war against Iran. signs of demon possession. American Christian Zionists are ready to support Israel at any cost

According to Aram Sargsyan, a very big campaign is underway here, and when Trump kidnapped Venezuelan President Maduro and took Venezuela’s oil, it should have been understood then that he was preparing some new adventure. With all that, Trump insured himself so that he would always have oil in tense situations. These processes were followed by the attack against Iran.

“Iran-US negotiations were going on, and when the United States was preparing for war under the cover of those negotiations, this means that it was preparing for war from the very first day.

Under these conditions, the so-called RA government has started praising itself, going around the villages to convince people that it is completely nonsense that they have brought peace. In this situation, to convince people that this is how it will be today, it will be like this tomorrow, of course, is a big crime, because we cannot say how this aggression against Iran will end. Also, we should not forget that Turkey and Azerbaijan are preparing for continuous processes with Israel in the context of all this, which can be expressed by the implementation of this so-called TRIPP, the formation of “Great Turan” and so on. And the absurdity is that the head of the country appears in all this and says: come and elect me, if you don’t, there will be a war.

Nikol Pashinyan is trying to deceive people on this primitive factor,” emphasized our interlocutor.

According to Aram Sargsyan, in recent years society has been brought to such a level that there is a layer that does not want to hear anything about anything. Therefore, the primitive factor used by Nikol Pashinyan will work for these people. Especially if they take into account the fact that Nikol Pashinyan suddenly decided to increase his pension by 10 thousand drams on the eve of the elections.

“I want to ask Nikol Pashinyan a question, 3 months ago he said that he could not raise his pension, where did he get that money when it was not provided for in the budget?” This means that the 100 million he took will provide 10 thousand drams. If God forbid, he was re-elected, those 10,000 will not work, in the best case it will be 3-4 months. If Nikol Pashinyan is there, there will be both war and Armenia will not exist, and if he is not in power, then the nation will unite, unite its potential and be able to develop in such a way that no enemy will risk attacking Armenia,” Aram Sargsyan emphasized.

Let’s remind that since February 28, the United States, together with Israel, attacked Iran, the military operations in Iran continue.
