Did Ararat Mirzoyan overcome poverty?

Ararat Mirzoyan, who holds the post of RA Foreign Minister, appeared at the Sunday meeting of Nikol Pashinyan’s unannounced campaign in a very ordinary, simple “look” with a half-sleeved jacket.

“However, as open sources show, that jacket of his is from the Brunello Cucinelli brand and is quite expensive: according to some websites, it ranges from 5,000 to more than 5,600 dollars,” 168.am writes.

The mass media had the opportunity to make various publications about Ararat Mirzoyan’s rapid social growth, especially since they themselves opened the topic back in 2019. Pashinyan said that the loan for the washing machine in their house has not been repaid until now, and Ararat Mirzoyan also remembered. “I went to get a TV on credit, they didn’t give it to me, the enforcer put a lien on my account.”

Of course, the official presenting himself in this “expensive-modest” form in meetings with “proud citizens of the Republic of Armenia” is only a part of the “happy bus and sad reality”.

Let’s just remind that many of them had accumulated debts even in pubs and cafes before the color revolution of 2018. And now they only use expensive shops, restaurants…

Moreover, the other members of the Communist Party do not give up either. not only are they talking about millions, but they are also living a luxurious life with expensive acquisitions, purchases and pleasures.

“Strong Armenia” party formed an alliance with two forces

Today, the member of the board of the “Strong Armenia” party, Narek Karapetyan, signed a memorandum on the creation of the alliance with the chairman of the “New Era” party Harutyun Harutyunyan and the honorary chairman of the “United Armenians” party, authorized representative Nairi Sargsyan.

The political parties that signed the memorandum declare that they unite around the political agenda and pre-election program of the “Strong Armenia” party and will act on the principles of strengthening statehood, protecting national and spiritual values, effective and accountable governance, sustainable economic development, ensuring legal and social justice and solidarity.

It is noted that the ideological basis of the forming alliance is consistent with the national-state and value approaches put forward by Samvel Karapetyan, and the parties express their willingness to unite around that ideological basis.

The political parties will participate in the upcoming elections in a joint political alliance, “Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan”.

We will achieve our goal: to have a guaranteed peace, a prosperous Armenia

A few days ago, the inaugural session of the coordinating council of the “Offer to Armenia” project took place.

Authoritative persons of different generations, with respectable biographies, with serious public weight, gathered under one roof, where party affiliation did not matter.

This session was preceded by my many meetings with public, political, public figures, representatives of various circles, the result of which is the respectable and solid composition of the project coordinating board.

Understanding very well that now is the pre-election phase and the formation of pre-election lists is an inevitable process, I want to start this phase with a word of thanks and gratitude, because the vast majority of our colleagues accepted the principle that I published weeks ago, that the position is not important, the state is important, that the mandate is not important, but the result of the work.

I am simply amazed that until today no one I have met has raised the issue of a mandate or a place on the list.
This speaks about team and individual qualities, this speaks about the quality of the team.

This is the key to success, because we are forming a new quality of public cooperation, a new rule of the game.

Many people said from the beginning that they did not claim any list and any position, many said: as you see fit, because this is not a program of one election and one day, but a program of post-war reconstruction of Armenia.

We will cross the road together and we will certainly achieve our goal: to have a guaranteed peace and a prosperous Armenia.

Yerevan patrols found illegally stored weapons and ammunition

On March 26, at 3:40 a.m., the officers of the 2nd company of the 3rd battalion of the Yerevan police regiment found 3 young people, 22 and 34 years old, residents of Aragatsot region, residents of Aragatsot region, and arrested them on suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of weapons.

A loaded gun and a folding knife with a secret lock were found during a personal search of the 34-year-old man.

The young people were presented with the prepared documents to the pre-trial body.

In the “Intervention” church. a new round of legal absurdity

The criminal case against the young people after the incident in St. Anna Church raises many questions.

The authorities claim that there was “interference with the legal official’s official or political activity”. But there is a fundamental contradiction here. Did the Prime Minister carry out official or political activities in the church?

According to the logic of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the church and the state are separate. The church is not a platform of state administration, and the implementation of state power cannot take place there. If there is no service activity, then what did those young people “interfere” with?

This is the key point where the whole structure of the accusation collapses.

Moreover, the proposed articles are clearly disproportionate and artificially expanded. The juxtaposition of hooliganism and “interference” creates an artificially weighted charge that is more like a political message that those who disagree should be punished.

This case is a dangerous precedent. If any incident can be presented as “interference in the activities of an official”, then tomorrow any disagreement can be criminalized with the same logic.

If we consider the “activities of an official” in the church as logical and proportional, then this means that expressing disagreement with the Prime Minister in any public place (church, cafe, theater) can become “interference”. This is a legal absurdity and a dangerous precedent.

In the case of the church incident, an absence ban and bail was applied to 2 persons

As a result of the incident that took place in the Saint Anna Church, Gevorg Gevorgyan and Mikayel Minasyan were restrained and bailed. This was reported by the Central Committee.

Earlier, the RA Investigative Committee informed that during the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the incident in Saint Anna Church in Yerevan, public criminal prosecution was initiated against 3 persons.

An open letter to Nikol Pashinyan from students and relatives of David and Michael

An open letter to Nikol Pashinyan from the students and relatives of David and Michael.

“David and Mikael Minasyan are intelligent, educated, literate, developed, patriotic young people, children of a decent and modest family.

They have always distinguished themselves with excellent progress, they have been the pride of the school, as evidenced by dozens of commendations and certificates of honor.

During the years of study, they never allowed any hooliganism, they were peace-loving youths. David and Mikael are followers of the Armenian Apostolic Church and participate in services every Sunday.

They have never been members of any political party, never joined any political force, the family is apolitical.

On Palm Sunday, they were present at the Holy Liturgy in St. Anna’s Church and during the prayer, they got into a stampede. They have never hurt or harmed anyone in their life, even more so a respectable person older than them. We are more than sure that there was no tendency to harm anyone in their actions on the day of the events.

Please, taking into account the above, do not put the fate of young men under attack. They are bright young people, full of dreams, bright goals, they can become suitable people for society and the state.”

The CEC fully controls the pre-election campaign. statement

In the March 31 edition of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, an article with the caption “The campaign has started, but the CEC is unable to control” was published, which was reprinted in a number of mass media. The claim in the article is baseless and is probably the result of ignorance of RA legislation.

It should be noted that the RA CEC together with the Yerevan office of the Council of Europe held a two-day workshop three days ago, on March 28-29, for media representatives accredited to cover the elections. The legislation was presented to journalists in detail, including how pre-election campaigning, control, and coverage are regulated. The author of the article also participated in the workshop.

We remind you once again that pre-election campaigning is regulated by Articles 19 to 23 of the Electoral Code of the Constitutional Law.

The pre-election campaign period is the period defined by the Electoral Code, during which the rules defined by the Electoral Code apply in order to provide equal opportunities to the parties (parties’ alliances) and candidates participating in the elections, to use public resources, conduct campaign and ensure financial transparency.

In the case of the National Assembly elections to be held on June 7, 2026, the pre-election campaign period is from May 8 to June 5. Pre-election campaigning is prohibited on June 6, the day before voting, and until 20:00 on the day of voting. In the remaining terms, political forces and political figures are free to carry out propaganda.

The Electoral Code specifically stipulates that the pre-election campaign period does not restrict campaigning in other periods not prohibited by the Code.

We repeat that before the pre-election campaign period, any political force can carry out propaganda, meet with citizens, visit the settlements of Armenia and do any action that is not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

We also remind you that the nomination period for the NA elections to be held on June 7 is April 13-23, and the deadline for registration is May 3.

We urge our media partners to follow the provisions of the “Electoral Code and Constitutional Law” when covering the National Assembly elections, and not to spread misinformation about the role and functions of the CEC.

Verelq: ARF has transferred humanitarian aid to Iran

Today, the Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation handed over medicines and medical supplies to the Iranian Embassy in Armenia.

ARF Artsakh Central Committee representative Ara Puluzyan said in an interview with Yerkir.am that this humanitarian aid is a manifestation of gratitude to the people of Iran, because in the difficult days of Armenia and Artsakh, neighboring and friendly Iran was next to the Armenian people.

“Of course, no aid is able to alleviate the pain of the friendly people of Iran, but as human beings, as doctors, we are obliged to be next to the people in pain and sorrow,” said Henrik Margaryan, a surgeon at “Tonoyan” Medical Center, a participant of the 44th day, stating that the experience of being a participant in the war helped him in choosing medical supplies.

The humanitarian aid was received by Iran’s deputy ambassador to RA, thanking him for standing by the people of Iran in these difficult days.
