MOSCOW – Export restrictions for the Iranian oil into Europe will play
no key role on the export potential in the long-term perspectives,
Russian economist Leonid Grigoryev told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Iranian oil is mainly exported to China, India, South Korea, which
are strategically important to the state. What happens today is more
politics then economics. Restrictions toward Iran will not make its
economy knee down,” Grigoryev said adding another positive effect
for Iran is the increase in prices.

Besides, restrictions refer not to fully cutting the oil supplies but
to suspend its import to Europe. Over 20% is expected to cut down,

Georgia will no longer cooperate with Russia through Open Sky Treaty

Georgia will no more cooperate with Russia within the frames of Open Sky Treaty

13:08 . 06/04

Georgia has ceased cooperation with Russia within the frames of Open
Sky Treaty, Georgian media write about this.

The treaty which was signed in 1992 and to which 34 states are
members, gives an opportunity to its members to collect information on
the military forces of one other through a program of unarmed aerial
surveillance flights over the entire territory of its participants.

Tbilisi motivates this step with the fact that Russia makes use of the
treaty clause according to which “the flight path of an observation
aircraft shall not be closer than… ten kilometres from the border
with an adjacent State that is not a State Party.”

Georgia says since 2010 Russia has attempted to make use of the treaty
to legalise the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The government doesn’t implement the decision of the European Court of
Human Rights

16:02 . 07/04

The residents deprived of their flats during the construction of the
main avenue make an alarm that they were again cheated. According to
them, the government doesn’t implement the decision of the European
Court of Human Rights, which obliged to compensate the residents
accordingly, the property rights of whom were violated while
constructing the main avenue in Yerevan’s centre.

To recall, because of the construction more than 5000 residents of
Yerevan’s centre were obliged to leave their flats. Some of them
received compensation, but some, remaining dissatisfied with the
compensation and not receiving any support from the government and
other bodies turned to the European Court of Human Rights.

After this RA government sent written statements to the European Court
of Human Rights saying they are ready to provide those who turned to
court with flats in the apartment buildings constructed in the place
of their old houses with a property right to those flats. But the
claimant states the term defined by the court has expired and no flats
have still been provided to them.
We should also state that those waiting for compensation haven’t been
able to participate in elections since 2007, as they are no more
registered.
