A l’heure actuelle, seules quelques pages internet
Démarche désintéressée A 89

conclut Nathan Rozmuski.

Note: En ligne début septembre

Outcry in Germany as Abraham awarded highly contentious wide points
win over Shihepo

by Jordan Stoddart

The Boxing Observer: August 25, 2013 – Former middleweight ruler
Arthur Abraham was lucky to walk away with a highly dubious points win
against the unheralded Wilberforce Shihepo over in Germany tonight.
The Namibian took the fight to the German-based Armenian right from
the off, and appeared to be in a healthy position going into the
second half of the bout. Although he visibly tired and took some
decent punches late on, it was clear the visitor had produced the
better performance and the better overall work-rate with a lackluster
Abraham seemingly not taking into account the severity of his current
predicament amongst the worlds elite fighters. As is the case in
Germany all too often, the home fighter was awarded an absurdly wide
points win to further heap more negativity on a result which should
have been career defining for the durable visitor.

British judges Mickey Vann and Richard James Davies somehow scored it
111-117 and 113-116 respectively, with Manuel Oliver Palomo’s card of
112-116 prompting the partisan crowd to loudly boo the decision, a
very rare occurrence that further compounded the nature of the
Sauerland fighters controversial victory. Abraham (37(28)-4) stated
pre-fight he would retire if he could not beat Shihepo, and based on
this performance it should be suggested that an honest chat with
trainer Ulli Wegner should take place before any notion of a trilogy
fight with nemesis Robert Stieglitz. Shihepo now unfortunately drops
to 20(15)-7, but can hopefully secure another big fight based on his
impressive and gutsy performance on the undercard of the Pulev v
Thompson card earlier tonight.

Australian Officials Counteract Turkey Threats

AUSTRALIAN OFFICIALS COUNTERACT TURKEY THREATS

August 24, 2013 | 02:39

Prime Minister of the Australian New South Wales (NSW) Barry O’Farrell
and other officials resisted the Turkish government’s threats to ban
them from the Gallipoli celebrations, ABC writes.

The threats were voiced after NSW parliament adopted a resolution
recognizing the 1915 Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman
Empire.

Responding to Turkish officials, Barry O’Farrell noted that the fact
cannot be denied.

“What a terrible indictment by the consul general of the freedom that
was fought for on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915. The truth will set
people free, history should never be denied, otherwise it is likely
to be repeated,” the Premier said.

Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian, who is of Armenian origin,
said the Australians stand aside by their ability to express the views
freely and this “freedom is exactly what was fought for in Gallipoli
in 1915.”

The Information Department of the RA Police informed Term.am that a
report on an administrative offence was drawn up and the young men
were released.

The reason why the young men were brought to the police station was
their making calls through a loudspeaker. They called for “ridding
the Yerevan Municipality of criminal elements” and dismissing Head
of the Transport Department Henrik Navasardyan and Director of the
Yerevantrans CJSC Misak Hambartsumyan.

The three young men have been holding a sit-down protest for 30 days.

Turkey Will Continue To Interfere In Egypt’s Internal Affairs – Expe

TURKEY WILL CONTINUE TO INTERFERE IN EGYPT’S INTERNAL AFFAIRS – EXPERT

August 23, 2013 | 12:49

YEREVAN. – Turkey’s response to a tweet posted on behalf of interim
president of Egypt proves that Armenian Genocide is an obstacle for
Turkey, analyst said.

Earlier a tweet posted on behalf of interim president of Egypt Adly
Mansour was spread in media.

Turkish authorities are interested in Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt,
since this is an Islamist political party, and this meets the
requirements of Turkey’s foreign policy, expert on Arabic studies
Sargis Grigoryan noted.

“For Turkey, Muslim Brotherhood is quite predictable political power
that can be manipulated by Turkey. Ankara will continue to interfere
in the internal affairs of Egypt, despite the fact that the situation
is out of control,” Grigoryan told reporters on Friday.

Referring to the political situation in Egypt, the expert predicted
that Muslim Brotherhood will try to regain power, but will do so from
the underground.

At the same time Grigoryan noted that at the moment, inter-religious
problems in the country are not advantages to the Muslim Brotherhood.

For this reason, the Armenian community has not suffered a significant
loss. However, it is possible that in a while situation may change
not in favor of religious minorities.

UNPRECEDENTED CARICATURE EXHIBITION OF GENOCIDE-COMMITTED TURKEY TO BE OPEN

12:02, 23 August, 2013

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute
for the first time is organizing a temporary exhibition presenting
hundreds of newly found original caricatures, postcards, posters, etc,

committed Genocide. As Armenpress was reported by the Press Service

The mass massacres committed by the Turkish government against the
Armenians during and after World War I were classified as “crimes
against humanity and civilization”. The genocidal policy of the Young
Turks was condemned by the governments of various countries, by many
organizations and prominent individuals. The thousands of articles
and different caricatures in foreign press of various countries,
the hundreds of postcards and posters became other evidences of the
crimes committed by the Turkish government during World War I and of
its condemnation.
