ARMENIA TO DISCUSS VISA-FREE REGIME FOR RESIDENTS OF SHENGEN AREA

On January 1st, 2013, Armenia will cancel visas for residents of 27
countries of the EU and 4 countries which belong to the Shengen area
(Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland). The Foreign Ministry of
Armenia proposed the project of this decision. It will be included into
the agenda of the governmental session on October 4, News.am reports.
Armenia tried to speed up the negotiations with the EU on the
simplification of the visa regime.
