Vartan Oskanian addressed the National Assembly. Dwelling on the
question why Huntsman’s money was not immediately spent on charity,
Vartan Oskanian said that Hunstman wanted part of the money to stay
at Oskanian’s disposal.
According to him, Huntsman has provided a written document. Vartan
Oskanian says that since they have nothing to hide, they didn’t even
imagine that their actions could be viewed as a crime.
Vartan Oskanian says that two days ago they decided with Huntsman to
transfer the whole sum to the Civilitas, so he has transferred the
money from his account to the account of the Civilitas.
Vartan Oskanian wonders whether these are the urgent issues of the
country. According to him, Stalin methods are used. If there is
someone there, charges will always be brought. According to him,
there are no arguments.
Oskanian talked about his biography saying that has never wanted to run
a business in Armenia since he has always been happy with what he has.
Oskanian said sure that this is a political plot not only against him
but the PAP, which could be an alternative to the current authorities.
Oskanian said that the power can’t stand the criticism instead of
the emigration, economic situation and home and foreign political
failures. Oskanian says now the question on leaving the PAP out of
the presidential race is discussed. According to Oskanian, this is
a matter threatening the future of Armenia.
