CANDIDATE VITALY BALASANYAN KARABAKH PRESIDENT’S MAIN RIVAL, SOCIOLOGIST SAYS

The main struggle at the presidential elections in Artsakh Republic
on July 19 will be elaborated between the incumbent President Bako
Sahakyan and former defense minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, Artsakh
hero Vitaly Balasanyan, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan said at a news
conference on Monday.

The sociologist noted that besides Vitaly Balasanyan, other two
candidates – Arkady Soghomonyan, vice director of Stepanakert branch
of Armenian agrarian university and unemployed Valery Khachatryan
will nominate their candidacies.

Adibekyan said at least two years before the nomination the candidates
should have introduced themselves to the public.

Comparing the current situation in Artsakh with the pre-electoral
situation in Armenia, the sociologist said no offenses, labeling are
being voiced in each other’s addresses in Artsakh unlike in Armenia.

Aharon Adibekyan stressed that the Karabakh people will not fight
for a chair but for ideas.
