Article | March 11, 2012 – 7:55pm

A NATO delegation led by Huseyin Dirioz, NATO’s Assistant Secretary
General for Defence Policy and Planning, recently paid a visit to
Yerevan. The delegation was welcomed by Armenia’s Defence Minister
Seyran Ohanyan and Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, news
agencies reported. The NATO delegation’s visit to Armenia is
interlinked with NATO joint group’s visit to the country. The parties
reflected on the main directions of the co-operation between Armenian
Ministry of Defence and NATO, and Armenian peacekeepers’ involvement

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
