Armenian Church History Book Published In Braille Version

ARMENIAN CHURCH HISTORY BOOK PUBLISHED IN BRAILLE VERSION

Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has initiated the creation of the
schoolbooks of History of the Armenian Church in the Braille version
for children with impaired eyesight.

The books were presented at a special ceremony at the Special School #1
on November 14 on the occasion of the International Day of the Blind.

The book is designed for schoolchildren at their 5th form.

The event was attended by the inspector of the Gevorgian Theological
Seminary, His Eminence Archbishop George Saroyan, who passed the
blessing of Catholicos Garegin II to those attending.

He highly rated the initiative, stressing that the book in the Braille
version was an urgent one for this layer of the society.

The event was attended also by representatives of the Centre for
Christian Upbringing at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia~Rs
Ministry of Education and Science and The Bible Society of Armenia.

The book is planned also to be published in Braille version for
other classes.
