PanARMENIAN.Net – 100000 civil servants in Armenia will get an
opportunity to use the social package in 2012, Armenian Prime
Minister said.

At November 3 session, Tigran Sargsyan noted that 2012 draft state
budget envisages AMD 18 billion for creation of a social package for
civil servants.

“This implies that employees in government institutions regardless
of position and salary will get an opportunity to benefit from the
social package,” he said adding that the assigned funds will be
equally distributed among state officials.

Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan, in turn, introduced 4 aspects of the
social package: medical insurance, interest payments on mortgage loans
(apartment repair), rest in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh and education.

“Mechanisms have been developed to rule out bureaucracy in the project
implementation; payment will be conducted through bank transfers,”
he added.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
