EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR HANDS OVER CREDENTIALS

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to
Armenia, Mohammed Ala Eldin Saad El Leis, handed today his credentials
to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

President’s press office reported that Serzh Sargsyan congratulated
the ambassador on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia and
voiced hope that he would contribute to the further development and
reinforcement of Armenian-Egyptian relations.

The parties pointed out that the Armenian-Egyptian ties, the friendship
and mutual sympathy between the two peoples date back to the depth
of centuries and continue till present. They attached significance to
the development of economic, cultural ties parallel to the high-level
political dialogue.

The President voiced hope that the establishment of political
stability in Egypt will contribute to the development of economy
and intensification of cooperation between the two countries in the
sphere. The interlocutors emphasized the role of the Armenian-Egyptian
community in the reinforcement of bilateral ties.

Noting that his appointment coincided with the time when Armenia
is marking the 20th anniversary of independence, the ambassador
congratulated President Sargsyan and wished him success in future.
