It is high time to make additional efforts in finalizing agreement
on basic principles of Karabakh conflict solution. Negotiations on
conflict solution will be restored in two days, President of European
Commission Jose Manuel Barroso stated at the briefing in Brussels on
Tuesday after the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“I hope the two sides will move forward. As I told earlier, status
quo is not a solution,” Baroso said.
President of EC added that developments in South Caucasus, including
Karabakh conflict, were discussed. Moreover, he emphasized that EC
will support peaceful resolution of the conflict.
