Armenia still has unsolved problems in freedom of speech, said RA
Presidential Staff Public Relations and Information Department Chair
and IT specialist Ara Saghatelyan at a press conference today.

"I see a very serious problem and I do not see its solution: that is
our printed press. All of us, as citizens, specialists, are facing
very serious problems in terms of freedom of speech: we are losing
the printed press day by day," said he.

Saghatelyan also said that "we as a society will suffer very
seriously," should there not be resources to take the printed press
to a new level.

"In Azerbaijan, they found a solution: a fund was created to support
media outlets, and they started, to put it roughly, buying them
[media outlets]. I hope we will never take that route. The drop in
the number of printed copies of our papers is a very serious problem,"
said the specialist.
