WE RECOGNIZE SOVEREIGNTY AND INDEPENDENCE OF AZERBAIJAN AND DO NOT
KNOW A STATE LIKE NAGORNY KARABAKH: US AMBASSADOR TO AZERBAIJAN
YEREVAN, MARCH 2. ARMINFO. The US Government fully supports
Azerbaijan’s position in the Armenian-Azeri conflict. We recognize the
sovereignty and independence of Azerbaijan and do not know a state
like Nagorny Karabakh. We welcome Pres Aliev’s commitment to settle
the conflict by talks, says US Ambassador to Baku Reno Harnish
commenting on a statement by his counterpart to Armenia John Evans.
To remind, during his recent meeting with US based Armenians Evans
said that Nagorny karabakh cannot be given to Azerbaijan. But later he
said that his statement was misinterpreted.
