GOVERNMENT OF ARMENIA DECIDES TO COMPLETE PROCESS OF LIQUIDATION OF ‘NAMAKANISH’ STATE ENTERPRISE ENGAGED IN ISSUE OF POSTAGE STAMPS

ArmInfo. The government of Armenia made a decision on completion of
the process of liquidation of ‘Namakanish’ state enterprise (‘Postage
stamp’) engaged in issue of postage stamps. The right for issue of
postage stamps was conveyed to ‘Haypost’ Company even in 2006 after
its transfer in trust of private investors. In 2007, the management of
‘Haypost Trust Management’ claimed of illegal issue of postage stamps
by ‘Namakanish’ CJSC as a result of which ‘Haypost’ suffered damage
at the rate of 300 million drams.
In view of the process of liquidation, the Finance Ministry of
Armenia was charged to care for collection of the foreign partners’
debt of about $1 mln to ‘Namakanish’ CJSC. After closure of the state
enterprise, the Transport and Communication Ministry will be entrusted
with administration of its property.
