AVERAGE PRICES OF YEREVAN APARTMENTS RISE BY 30.7% IN 2007 AS COMPARED WITH PREVIOUS YEAR

YEREVAN, MARCH 20, NOYAN TAPAN. The average market price of a square
meter of a residential building’s apartment made 257.1 thousand drams
(about 751.6 USD) in Yerevan, except Nork-Marash community, in 2007 –
against 196.7 thousand drams in 2006, with the growth making 30.7%. The
same prices made: in the city of Abovian – 143 thousand drams in 2007,
98.1 thousand drams in 2006; in Vagharshapat – 127.6 thousand drams
and 127.6 thousand drams respectively; in Jermuk – 106 thousand drams
and 65.9 thousand drams respectively.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, the average market
price of a square meter of a residential house (with a personal plot)
in Yerevan, except Nor Nork community, made 261.8 thousand drams
in 2007 – against 201.2 thousand drams in 2006 (30.1% growth). The
same prices made: in Abovian – 147.8 thousand drams in 2007 and
99.9 thousand drams in 2006; in Tsakhkadzor – 132 thousand drams and
74.8 thousand drams; in Vagharshapat – 130.5 thousand drams and 87.8
thousand drams respectively.
