The exhibition presents more than 40 snapshots of Armenia, captured through EUMA’s everyday patrols and visits to the local communities in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Tavush and Gegharkunik regions.

These photographs showcase how peace, security, and biodiversity are interconnected. They invite viewers to reflect on this vital relationship between resilient communities, healthy ecosystems, and peace.

Our wellbeing and security depend on the land, natural resources, and healthy ecosystems around us. In turn, peace helps create stability that allows people and communities to thrive, protecting livelihoods, health and dignity now and for future generations.

Peace and security can create opportunities for effective governance, helping to safeguard the ecosystems; at the same time, biodiversity creates conditions for peaceful and secure societies.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
