Paraguay discusses issues related to COP17 to be held in Yerevan

Armenian Ambassador to Uruguay Mariam Gevorgyan met in Asunción with Lilian Portillo, Head of the Strategic Planning Department and Director of External Relations at Paraguay’s Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.

The meeting was announced in a statement issued by the Armenian Embassy in Uruguay. 

According to the statement, the sides discussed a number of issues related to the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Armenia. 

Ambassador Gevorgyan outlined the progress of preparations for COP17, Armenia’s priorities for its presidency, as well as the Leaders’ Summit to be held ahead of the conference.
