Yerem Sargsyan, a member of the legal team of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, stated that there is a serious problem of legal security in the Republic of Armenia.

According to him, every time the political authority publicly announces the criminal and other proceedings to be initiated against a person, after which the entire law enforcement system, investigative bodies, prosecutor’s office, courts start the implementation of that political directive.

“In this case, the political instruction was given regarding Gagik Tsarukyan, it was clearly announced regarding the criminal proceedings, arresting him, keeping him in a penitentiary, confiscating his property, including the nationalization of “Araratcement”, appointing a manager, which the entire law enforcement system clearly carries out on a daily basis.

Moreover, even supposedly independent courts are involved in it.

Then, without giving each other a turn, they announce that they are purely legal processes. However, it cannot happen that all these things coincide, that is, if these processes were to take place, they should take place independently of the instructions and public statements of the political authorities.

And the current situation clearly shows that the law enforcement system operates exclusively for political purposes, to fulfill the wishes of the political authorities and to keep their political rating high.

It was announced that after the elections, Gagik Tsarukyan would not be allowed to leave the country, they were not allowed, the prosecutor’s office filed an obviously illegal charge and an absence ban was applied. Then they themselves confirmed that the accusation was clearly illegal.

It was announced that Gagik Tsarukyan should be in prison after the elections, he was immediately arrested and detained, and currently he is in a penitentiary.

It was announced that “Araratcement” should be nationalized and a manager should be appointed, it was already published today that the anti-corruption court made such a decision with the mediation of the prosecutor’s office. Gagik Tsarukyan’s legal team was not informed about the decision at all, no information about those processes appeared, and currently the decision has not been provided.

All of this is a direct testimony to the fact that before the statements of the representatives of the political authorities, there was no need to carry out such processes, after the statements, the entire law enforcement system suddenly wakes up and it turns out that such processes had to be carried out purely from a legal point of view.
