“Rosselkhoznadzor” applied to Iran Plant Protection Organization with a request to stop the certification of flowers for export to Russia.
“In the phytosanitary certificates, Iran is indicated as the place of origin of the product. Moreover, the product’s external characteristics and packaging features are identical to the one previously imported from Armenia. “Rosselkhoznadzor” earlier informed Iran about the current temporary restrictions on Armenian flower products,” the department’s statement said.
From May 22, 2026, the import of flowers from Armenia to Russia has been banned.
