He has always hated Artsakh. There is no flag in the square of France… my fight is not over

June: 23, 2026

The guest of 168TV’s program “Zara has a question” is director-animator Davit Sahakyants.

Below are some theses of Davit Sahakyants, voiced during the program

  • My fight for Artsakh is not over. until the last days of my life, I will still fight for the dream I believe in, which is called United Armenia, which also includes Western Armenia, which also includes other territories that are historically Armenian.
  • Today, when I came to you, I was passing by France Square. I saw that the flag was not there. I understood that for some part that struggle was over. The flag, I think, had great meaning and should have remained until the reunification.
  • It seems to me that there have always been people who rejected Artsakh, rejected Armenian, they have always been in the society, they just weren’t so brazen in those days and wouldn’t announce such things, now they have actually lost their shame, now they can, each of them, I don’t know why, can allow themselves to talk on Facebook, Tiktok or Instagram. But I don’t believe in this vote and I don’t believe in 2021. to the vote. I don’t believe that there are so many dangerous people next to us.
  • We are truly a fantastic nation. talented, hardworking, but we don’t appreciate what we have at all. We don’t appreciate our country, our achievements, we didn’t appreciate Artsakh as much as it deserved, and today we are losing our homeland, even with their invented kilometers. People campaign, get elected, saying and announcing that they will give space. And this is in the background when there is a problem of the existence of Armenian Syunik. We do not appreciate the importance of Syunik for us.

  • Those people who are in power today hate this country, they hate the children of this country… to the intellectual. whoever does not caress themselves, then they are not human. You are not with us, you are an enemy. Those people hate Artsakh. In 2008 that man shouted: we must free our country from the scum of Karabakh. The owner of that phrase is sitting in the position of “prime minister” today. He has hated Artsakh ever since, and that is a fact, with his attitude… We do not appreciate what we have, and, unfortunately, today we bear the responsibility for it as a nation.
