Azerbaijani AzerTelecom has signed a cooperation agreement with Armenian Telecom Armenia. According to the Azerbaijani official report, AzerTelecom will provide Armenia with an Internet transit connection. Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“Until the details are available, I don’t want to make a final statement, but the first question that arises is: What guarantees are there that Azerbaijan will not use it to control Armenian Internet traffic, making anti-Armenian interventions at the necessary time?
In general, it should be remembered. Azerbaijan does not have any goal of equal partnership with Armenia. Any action is based on the logic of a total war against Armenia. to weaken the Armenian state as much as possible and put it in limbo. Therefore, approaching this news with optimism is, to put it mildly, naive,” concluded Geghamyan.
