Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed on Monday that Armenia remains a full member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), retaining all its rights and obligations.
The Russian news agency Sputnik quoted Zakharova as saying, “Armenia has refrained from participating in CSTO activities for more than two years, while remaining a full member of the organization, retaining all its rights and obligations.” She added that Moscow is convinced that Armenia’s resumption of its work in the CSTO is in the republic’s best interest, and that the organization remains a guarantor of regional stability.
