Armenia has confirmed their participation in Junior Eurovision 2026, due to be held in Malta in October. National broadcaster AMPTV has launched the search for artist that will represent them in the contest.
AMPTV confirms participation
Armenian national broadcaster AMPTV has confirmed submissions are now open for their Junior Eurovision contestant search for the 2026 contest. Applications are open here until June 30th. Applicants must be a citizen or resident of Armenia, born between October 25th 2011 and October 24th 2017.
Artists are encouraged to apply as individuals, duets or as groups of up to 6. A panel will assess the initial applicants, with successful participants being invited to the auditions stage of the process held in Yerevan in early July. Singers will be asked to perform two covers of well known songs of their choice as part of the audition process and the winner will be chosen by a jury of professionals, with AMPTV internally selecting the song for Junior Eurovision in October.

Armenia’s Junior Eurovision journey
Armenia is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision. The Caucasian nation first took part in 2007 and finished in second place, with “Erazanq” performed by Arevik. Following this, Armenia has scored eleven top-five results – including two wins. They achieved their first win in 2010, when Vladimir Arzumunyan triumphed in Minsk with his song “Mama”. They won the contest again in 2021, in Paris. when Maléna represented them with her song “Qami, Qami”. Armenia has hosted the contest in Yerevan twice, in 2011 and in 2022.
Albert Armenakyan, or Albert, represented Armenia in 2025 with his song “Brave Heart”. Ultimately, he achieved fourth place overall, receiving 175 points – 117 from the jury and 58 from the online vote.
