Civil Contract to retain majority, Strong Armenia runner-up — preliminary resu

The Central Electoral Commission has released the preliminary results of the vote count from all 2,005 polling stations in the parliamentary elections, showing that the ruling Civil Contract party will hold a majority.

According to the preliminary results, four political entities will have seats in the next parliament.

The turnout was 1,476,916, or 59%.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party garnered the most votes — 727,160, or 49.81%.

Samvel Karapetyan’s Strong Armenia is the runner-up with 340,062 votes, or 23.29%, followed by ex-President Robert Kocharyan’s Armenia Alliance, which garnered 145,097 votes, or 9.94%.

Gagik Tsarukyan’s Prosperous Armenia party received the 4% required to overcome the threshold, with 58,368 votes.

Reformists Party — 1,456 votes (0.1%)

Against All Democratic Party — 21,467 votes (1.47%) 

Meritocratic Party of Armenia — 30,797 (2.11%)

New Power Reformist Party — 25,618 votes (1.75%)

Wings of Unity Party — 33,618 votes (2.3%)

National Democratic Pole Party — 5,485 votes (0.38%)

Kochari National Revival and National Awakening Party — 1,984 votes (0.14%)

Armenian National Congress Party — 3,206 votes (0.22%)

Republic Party — 15,827 votes (1.08%)

Christian Democratic Party — 2,679 votes (0.18%)

Democratic Consolidation Party — 5,282 votes (0.36%)

Democracy, Law and Order Party — 26,565 votes (1.82%)

Alliance of Defenders of the Republic’s Democracy — 6,750 votes (0.46%)

Bright Armenia Party — 7,256 votes (0.5%)
