Armenia, France discuss expansion of strategic partnership

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot in Paris.

According to a readout from the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the two foreign ministers “expressed satisfaction and highlighted the selection and official opening of the new premises of Armenia’s diplomatic mission in Paris, which is one of the best examples of further deepening the partnership between the two countries.”

They also discussed steps aimed at developing the strategic partnership between Armenia and France, emphasizing the importance of French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming visit to Yerevan. The ministers also addressed upcoming cooperation programs in key sectors.

The meeting further covered issues related to the expansion of the Armenia–EU partnership and cooperation aimed at strengthening democratic resilience.

The foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
