Armenia has celebrated its first medal at the European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia, with Garnik Cholakyan claiming the silver in the men’s 60kg category.
In the snatch, Cholakyan lifted 120kg and 124kg, securing second place in the discipline.
He successfully lifted 145kg and 150kg in the clean and jerk to finish third. His combined total of 274kg earned him the runner-up title.
