Sports: Armenia’s Tigran Kirakosyan wins gold at European Sambo Championships

The 2017 European Sambo Championships have launched today in Minsk, Belarus, with some 300 samboists from 26 countries taking part in the championship.

As the Sambo Federation of Armenia told, in the first day of the competition, Armenian athlete Harutyun Sargsyan (57kg w/c, Combat Sambo) won the bronze. Tigran Kirakosyan from Armenia’s Vanadzor city (52kg w/c, Sport Sambo) showed excellent performance in all the fights and became a European Champion.

In the final round, Tigran defeated Azerbaijani athlete Agasif Samedov 5:0.

The championships will last till May 21.
