Armenian PM Receives Delegation Of Canadian Businessmen

ARMENIAN PM RECEIVES DELEGATION OF CANADIAN BUSINESSMEN

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received
the delegation of Canadian businessmen. Among those attending the
meeting were RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia John Kur and
Honorary Consul Artashes Emin, as well as representatives of the
embassy. The delegates are in Armenia to discuss the paths for the
strengthening of trade and economic relations on the sidelines of
the Armenian-Canadian business forum organized by the Development
Foundation of Armenia.

The Prime Minister welcomed the Canadian businessmen’s visit to Armenia
and mentioned that it would help strengthen business relations and
deepen the partnership between both countries.

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for the reception on
behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Kur mentioned that the Canadian
businessmen are interested in making investments in Armenia, had
effective discussions with the representatives of Armenia’s interested
government agencies and representatives of different fields and
reached certain agreements.

Prime Minister Abrahamyan mentioned that in order to engage foreign
investments in Armenia’s economy, the government continues to take
steps to improve the business climate and create favorable conditions
for investments, is establishing liberalism in taxing and is ready
to support the implementation of any reasonable business plan.

The sides also praised the role of the Canadian-Armenian community in
different spheres of social and economic life and the community’s
important contributions to the development of the multifaceted
cooperation between the two countries.
