The Kardashian sisters are set to get in touch with their roots.

According to E! News sources, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and
Kourtney Kardashian have booked a trip to their paternal ancestral
homeland for April.

“Visiting Armenia has been on Kim’s bucket list forever,” a family
insider tells E!. “They are all so excited! They want to learn about
their heritage.”

Along with several cousins on board for the vacation, Kim will take
North West with her (husband Kanye West will attend if his tour
schedule permits), while Kourtney will travel with children Mason,
Penelope and Reign.

Robert Kardashian (the late father of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe) was
born to Armenian-American parents and his great-grandparents were
ethnic Armenian immigrants.

The siblings don’t talk about their family history all that often,
but Kim Kardashian was irate in 2011 when her photo was used on the
cover of Turkey’s edition of Cosmopolitan.

It is widely believed that Turkey was responsible for acts of genocide
against the Armenian people in the early 1900s.

“Cosmopolitan Magazine has a number of international editions all
around the world that run in various territories, and when I did
this shoot for the international covers I had no idea that Turkey
was planning to run my story on their cover THIS month, considering
Genocide Remembrance Day is this month,” Kim said at the time, adding:

“My Armenian heritage means a lot to me and I’ve been brought up to
be incredibly proud of my family’s background and culture so as an
Armenian-American woman it is a huge honor for me to be on the first
ever Armenian Cosmopolitan cover.”

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
