Requiem Service for Vahan Hovanessian to be Held in Glendale

GLENDALE–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western US Central
Committee announced that a Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday,
January 4 for ARF leader Vahan Hovanessian who passed away Sunday
after a long illness.

The Mass will be held at Glendale St. Mary’s Church, 500 South Central
Boulevard, immediately following regular church services. A memorial
gathering will follow at the church’s Armenag Der-Bedrossian Hall.

The community is encouraged to attend.

Hovanessian will be interred at the Yerevan Pantheon on Sunday, with
funeral services preceding the burial at the Komitas Chamber Orchestra
Hall. A Requiem Mass will be said on Saturday evening at the St.
Sarkis Church in the Nor Nork district of Yerevan.

On Tuesday, Hovanessian’s remains arrived in Yerevan from Berlin,
where the ARF leader passed away while serving as Armenia’s Ambassador
to Germany.
