The question whether there should be a customs point on the
Armenian-NKR border is no longer on agenda, Nagorno-Karabakh’s Prime
Minister Ara Harutyunyan said in an interview to Zhamanak newspaper.

When asked to comment on the effects the recent fluctuations on the
forex market have had on Nagorno-Karabakh’s economy, he said that the
effects are the same as in Armenia. “The steps taken by the Armenian
Government to stabilize the situation have proved to be quite
effective. As a result, AMD is appreciating in both Armenia and
Nagorno-Karabakh,” Harutyunyan said.

While presenting to the Byelorussian Parliament the agreement on
Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union on Friday, Foreign
Minister of Belarus Alexander Mikhnevich said that Nagorno-Karabakh
will not join the Union together with Armenia. “Armenia has respected
our wish and has added a point to the agreement saying that
Nagorno-Karabakh is not its part,” Mikhnevich said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
