Armenian Genocide Museum To Be Built In Uruguay

ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MUSEUM TO BE BUILT IN URUGUAY

December 16, 2014

The Armenian Genocide museum construction is on the way. In the first
months of 2015, most probably, the government of Uruguay will provide
a territory for the museum. Armenpress got informed about it from
the Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of South America
Dr. Hagop Tabakian.

“All the necessary steps are taken to build an Armenian Genocide museum
in Montevideo. The representatives of the Armenian community, the State
University of the Republic of Uruguay, the Ministry of Tourism of the
country and Montevideo Municipality will take part in the works. These
steps will, most likely, be completed during the first months of the
year of 2015 and the government of Uruguay will allocate a territory
for the establishment of the museum”, – said Tabakian.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
