The paper says it has learned from sources that the oligarchs residing
in Armenia have found a new way to accumulate wealth.
They reportedly send a huge amount of US Dollars to Russia, asking
their agents to deal with its sale and purchase. With Russia now facing
a shortage of Dollars, the currency’s flow from Armenia is said to be
continuing. Citing economists, the paper says that the Dollar price
is going to see an unprecedented surge starting from January, with
the imported goods purchased with this currency expected to become
more expensive.
