AVERAGE PENSION TO BE RAISED TO ABOUT $100 IN ARMENIA IN 2015 – MINISTER

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. Average pension will be increased by 14 %
to 41,000 drams in Armenia in 2015, the country’s minister of labor
and social affairs Artem Asatryan said at the draft budget discussions
in the parliament committees on Friday.

As from 2015 pensioners will be getting increased additions on the
length of their service, the minister said.

The basis pension will increase from 14,000 drams to 16,000 drams
and additions will go up from 700 drams to 800 drams for the first 10
years of service and from 450 drams to 500 drams for subsequent years.

The 2015 budget spending on social security includes about 225.6
billion drams to be paid in pensions, by 29.9 billion drams more than
in 2014.

According to the 2015 draft budget, Armenia’s consolidated budget
revenues will amount to 1 trillion 221 billion drams and budget
spending will total 1 trillion 337 million drams. Budgeted deficit
is 116.6 billion drams. ($1 – 411.74 drams). -0–
