Nearly 3,300 deaths in Armenia in traffic accidents during the past 10 years
According to official figures published in Yerevan, in the last 10
years (2004-2013) in Armenia, 3252 people died in traffic accidents.
During the same period 27,100 people were also injured in road
accidents. Over the past 10 years, Armenia has imported 297,000
vehicles and at the same time the traffic accidents increased by 2.4
times. The poor condition of roads and dilapidated or absence of
certain signs are among the factors that increase the traffic
accidents.
