Ed. Sharmazanov didn’t want to comment on the appointment of Surik Khachatryan

The NA vice President Eduard Sharmazanov is not going to discuss the
personnel decisions of the Government and in particular, why Surik
Khachatryan was reappointed Syunik Governor.
He thinks that the work of all the governors must be under control,
and whether Surik Khachatryan’s issue was discussed at the HHK council
session, he doesn’t know as he wasn’t in the country. The observation,
that Surik Khachatryan’s name is connected with criminal cases and in
particular with the murder of Avetik Budaghyan, Mr. Sharmazanov
answered, “Ask the courts all the questions on the criminal cases. I
am not a lawyer or advocate, or prosecutor. The court, as I know,
didn’t give an accusatory verdict. Of course there may be different
perceptions in the society, that’s why I said that I am not going to
discuss the personnel decisions of the Government.”
