U.S. CONGRESSWOMAN KATHERINE CLARK SUPPORTS KARABAKH PEOPLE AND CONDEMNS AZERI AGGRESSION

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. The U.S. Congressmen continue to raise
their voice against the Azerbaijani aggression against the Republic
of Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
This time, Congresswoman Katherine Clark spoke out against increasing
Azerbaijani aggression. “I am deeply concerned by the recent military
aggression by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, including reports of
sniper fire against a Red Cross envoy and Armenian civilians. For
too long, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh have lived under constant
threat of Azeri aggression.
This campaign of violence violates a long-standing ceasefire and
will only lead to additional loss of life. The Armenian people of
Nagorno-Karabakh have succeeded in creating a vibrant democratic
society against long odds, and I stand with them in condemnation of
Azerbaijan’s aggression,” she said.
