Defense Ministry of Armenia urges Baku to abandon the attempts to
escalate tension on the line of contact of the NKR and Azerbaijani
armed forces and take measures to stabilize the situation.
“The situation on the line of contact of the NKR and Azerbaijani armed
forces is extremely tense these days as Azerbaijani militaries make
continuous attempts to penetrate into the positions of the Armenian
forces. They fire at the NKR Defense Army positions from
large-caliber weapons, rocket launchers, mortar launchers and air
defense guns. Fires at near border Armenian villages have been
intensified. The death toll on both sides is growing day by day. The
Defense Ministry of Armenia declares that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces
act contrary to the peace negotiations within the OSCE MG, which is
pregnant with resumption of large-scale military actions,” the Defense
Ministry says in a statement.
The Ministry warns Baku that in case of further sabotage attempts by
Azerbaijani armed forces, the Armenian armed forces will have to take
tougher measures to punish the senseless and illogic displays of
rancor by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry leadership.
