TEHRAN – Iran and Armenia will increase weekly flights between the two
countries from 3 to 50.

The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran and the Ministry of Finance
and Economy of Armenia signed a memorandum of understanding in the
Armenian capital, Yerevan, according to which the two sides vowed to
improve aviation services and expand air transportation
infrastructures, the Tasnim News Agency reported on Sunday.

Trade between the two neighboring countries totaled $293 million in
2013, Iran’s commercial attaché in Armenia, Hamaiak Avadis Yanes, said
on May 8.

According to him, Iran exported $198 million worth of goods to Armenia
in 2013, while imported $95 million worth of goods from its northern
neighbor, Press TV reported.
