HIS HOLINESS ARAM I AND HIS BEATITUDE JOHN X, GREEK ORTHODOX PATRIARCH OF ANTIOCH, DISCUSS CHRISTIAN PRESENCE IN THE REGION

Following their meeting in Bahrain during the International Conference,
His Holiness Aram I and Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East,
met again in Dubai. V. Rev. Mesrob Sarkissian, the Patriarchal Vicar
of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
also attended the meeting.
The two church leaders discussed the situation of Christians in Aleppo
and Kessab and the forthcoming presidential elections in Lebanon. They
also discussed ways of strengthening relations between their two
Churches in the Middle East and the Gulf Region and agreed that it was
important for the two communities in the UAE to work closely together.
They voiced their joy that they have been given land to build churches
in Abu Dhabi.
