The Repression of The Armenian Repatriates During the Stalin Era is a
scientific study detailing the fates of a portion of the 42,000 Armenian
repatriates who were persecuted during 1920-1953. The book is based on
information extracted from the National Archives of Armenia. It focuses
on individuals who emigrated to Armenia from abroad and who were
subsequently victimized. An audio CD accompanying this work contains
oral histories of three survivors.

Armine Carapetian Koundakjian was born in Iran. Since 1991 she has
created several auxiliary Armenian educational materials in the form of
instructional games for students or anyone interested in learning
Armenian. Koundakjian’s books have been published in numerous languages.
Her first book The Repression of The Armenian Repatriates During the
Stalin Era, was published in Yerevan and was translated from Armenian
into both Russian and English languages, while her second book, What Was
Written in Iran During the Armenian Genocide, is available in Armenian,
English and Farsi . Koundakjian is currently researching the lives of
the survivors of the repression to elucidate the historic facts and the
consequences of the repatriation.
