BODY OF ARMENIAN SOLDIER FOUND WITH GUNSHOT WOUND ON HIS FACE

A criminal case under charges of “incitement to suicide” was launched
after the body of Armenian soldier Vanichka Hovakimyan’s body was
found, reported News.am. However, RA Ministry of Defense Investigative
Service Senior Officer Mery Sargsyan, in conversation with Epress.am,
said that no criminal charge has been decided yet and an investigation
is under way.

The defense ministry had reported earlier that the body was found at
around 6:10 pm on Dec. 10 in the territory of R N military base.

Hovakimyan had a gunshot wound in the lower part of his jaw. The army
private had been called to compulsory military service from Tavush marz
(provinc) in spring 2012.
