U.S. Ambassador Inquired About Incident Near Ex-Governor Khachatryan’s House
Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan met with the U.S. Ambassador John
Heffern who inquired about the incident that took place near the house
of the ex-governor of Syunik region Surik Khachatryan on 01.06.2013.
The website of the prosecutor general’s office informed that Gevorg
Kostanyan briefed the ambassador on the requirements of the applicable
criminal law, as well as shared the legal assessments of the
investigative body and the counsel for the defense.
Agreement has been reached to continue cooperation and organize
regular meetings and consultations to identify the sectors and assess
the needs for U.S. assistance, the press release of the Prosecutor
General’s Office informs.
