Empowering Armenian People Towards Sustainable Agricultural Development

In 2004, when farming in Armenia was on a verge of becoming
unprofitable due to rising prices of fuel, water, and fertilizers, the
U.S. based Armenian Technology Group introduced the No-Till farming
method to the farmers of Armenia. This new farming method not only
reduced the costs of wheat production, but also juristically increased
the yield.
Besides providing Armenian farmers with new and efficient equipment,
the foreign professionals have also organized numerous educational
field seminars. According to Mr. Suqiasian, a member of Seed Producers
Association, from the beginning of plowing until the harvest season,
potentially beneficial farmers are frequently invited to seminars
where professionals explain how the method works and what are its
benefits. Many farmers adopt this method without even becoming members
of the Seed Producers Association.
Farmers of Gegharqunik, Armavir, Kotayq, Shirak, Lori, Syuniq and
other regions are currently using this technology. Our goal is to
provide the opportunity of using this farming technique to all of the
farmers in Armenia. That’s why we ask for your donations in hopes to
fulfill this goal and help the people of Armenia to reach a
sustainable agricultural development.
