ARMENIA IS ONE OF THE ACTIVE UN MEMBERS – EDWARD NALBANDIAN

YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian on Friday visited the UN
office in Yerevan where he and Resident Coordinator Bradley Busetoo
opened a renovated conference hall.

Prior to the ceremony, he met with the Resident Coordinator, the heads
of UN agencies and departments in Armenia, to discuss the projects
that have been implemented in Armenia over 20 years.

Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia is one of the active UN
members and is expanding its involvement in cooperation and work of the
UN every year. He highly appreciated the UNDP, and other UN agencies’
assistance to Armenia.

Foreign Minister presented the results of his meeting with Secretary
General Ban Ki-moon in New York.

The participants exchanged views on UN’s possible participation in
assistance provided to Syrian Armenians.
